I finally had a chance to plug my new #Warwick Alien Rockbass Deluxe in and hear it properly with an amp.

Here's a quick sound sample. No effects or anything. Just a touch of overdrive from the amp.
Probably recorded a mix of amp and acoustic as I only used my phone mic.

I'm really enjoying the C# string. It sounds like a woman scorned. 😝 The top strings sound pleasant. I might want a groundwound for the G# after I defret the fingerboard.

Anyone got a name for this fella?

This is not the specific #bass I thought I was ordering. Exchanged a few words w/ the shop... 😬 Alas, that fingerboard won me over & I made aesthetic sense of the body grain. lol

Last night’s gig at Guilt & Co with the Smooth Sailors was nothing short of incredible. I shared the stage with five very dear friends, some of whom I haven’t played with in decades. Everything meshed, the dance floor was packed all night long, and I haven’t been that satisfied after a show in ages. My heart is full.
