Petition: Set up a National Commission on Electoral Reform to review the electoral system
I ask the Government to set up a National Commission on #ElectoralReform, as advocated by the All Party Parliamentary Group for Fair Elections. It should be an independent, time limited, expert led review to build consensus for changing the electoral system for the Westminster Parliament.

Squashing Electoral Reform
In 2015, the Canadian government set up a commission to reform Canada's electoral system. This commission became a political football and had to be disbanded.
Making such changes will be difficult.
If we are going to make such an electoral change, we might as well shoot for a big change, not a trifling change. Right?

Around 28,000 prisoners could get the vote, which is about 130 inmates per area. This is a big change from the current rules.
