So first, to clarify, I don't think any of what the US has been doing with #Venezuela for the past decade is okay, and obviously this illegal act of #war by #Trump is a whole new level that blindsided even me. Part of me thinks it might be trying to distract us from #Epstein, #Econony, #Healthcare, and #CivilRights scandals that we're expected with his administration, but this is so over the top I just assumed it was more bluster than an actual desire.

So I guess we will see if the Republicans are willing to impeach?

Anyway, that said...

No, I don't think #Maduro was a good leader for Venezuela, I think he wasn't up to the task after #Chavez died and ended up destroying their democracy instead of doing what he was elected to do. That doesn't mean the US can make any claim to Venezuelan resources, no matter how many bribes were given to acquire them in previous decades.

I do find it refreshing though that they aren't trying to give an ulterior motive to this being about oil.
