Over the holidays i listened to new englanders spout off about the #palisadesfire & #eatonfires. All they could speak of was the endangered fish & how water was being used for that & not going to first responders. How stupid newsom is and the “optics.” And this is #mediapropaganda at work b/c if newsom runs this is what they will base voting against him on —a fucking fish. Not a h2o reservoir under repair after a year w/out rain not broken water pipes from the fire heat not 50+mph winds

The first anniversary of the #EatonFires (and #PalisadesFire) is coming up on the 7th. A year later and things for LA are still the most unstable I’ve seen since the ‘92 Uprising and Northridge ‘94 quake combined.

I just want to get back to normal. I just want financial stability. Praying that people get their homes back ASAP.

The #music toll from the #eatonfires is pretty serious:

•Legendary producer Madlib lost everything. Every. Physical and sonic. Thing. Gone.
•Jose James and wife @taalimusic will more than likely not be able to return to their adorable studio home that I was trying to bake pies at
•14kt unable to return home
•Still have to figure out where Dam Funk is at

+ already had to send loved ones and their children into Oakland and Inglewood because of lost property.

This is exhausting.
