Brush fire breaks out in Eastvale in Santa Ana riverbed

Authorities were battling a small brush fire Tuesday evening at the Santa Ana riverbed in Eastvale, the Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department said in a Tweet. The fire, which was at 5-7 acres as of a 10 p.m. update, was reported at 7700 block Cobble Creek Drive and broke out shortly before 9 p.m., according to Cal Fire. No injuries or evacuations had occurred as of late Tuesday evening. It was not immediately clear what started the fire. News video from the scene showed it burning near Riverwalk Park.
