There's a debate coming up at council tomorrow about where ELDC can put more than ยฃ5m of its savings into any one foreign country. At the moment, the proposal is to change the limit from ยฃ5m to ยฃ10m. I haven't forgotten the Icelandic banking crisis.
Meanwhile, some of the authorities' savings are in a Qatari bank, because human rights and ecological considerations play no part in the district council's investment decisions. Which is wrong.

This map of EV charging points shows which places are lagging behind. East Lindsey is one of those areas, no surprise. What it doesn't show is how disabled-accessible those charging points are, and that's going to be really important for the transition from petrol. Too few points are easy to use for people with additional needs.
