Heading west today to a bake sale for #Palestine
I should have been walking 5 minutes down the road and staying east, but bigots threatened people selling cakes to raise money for wee kids so they had to relocate.
This Peacock butterfly was unimpressed by the recent change in the weather.
Shot on iPhone.

The place I learn Irish has just launched its classes for the year.
(always a stressful time, because we help look after the website and it can get surprisingly busy!)
Based in East Belfast, but they also have online courses for all levels.

From the 6th-13th June there is a festival celebrating Samuel Bryson, an East Belfast doctor (of Bryson street fame) who was heavily involved in the Irish language over 200 years ago.
There’s gonna be talks, walks, tours, and craic.

If you’re about Belfast, I think it’ll be interesting!
I was pretty happy with this hastily taken snap. Just when out on my daily walk a couple of days ago.

Strand Arts Centre in East Belfast closes this week for an 18-month refurb. Lots of activities are relocating to a unit in Connswater Shopping Centre for the duration.
I need to frequent the Strand for more films when it reopens. I saw CODA there on the big screen on my birthday in 2022 after the film got another limited cinema release after wining the Best Picture Oscar. It was fab ☺️
