Tree planting, waste reduction, sustainability programs mark Earth Month efforts nationwide

On Wednesday, to mark #EarthDay, @greenparty_ie leader Roderic O'Gorman tabled a motion calling on the government to fulfil its commitments on climate change, pollution, and biodiversity loss.

He also made three proposals to help those most affected by increasing fuel prices and fossil fuel dependence:

- Free solar panels for households eligible for the fuel allowance
-A social leasing scheme for EVs for essential workers who need a car for work
- Permit plug-in solar panels on Irish homes
