The community event got crushed within a few days...I did my part by helping to quell the Outbreak Infected, collectively, the community has currently slain: 3,081,877! That's crazy work, for my part, I added hundreds to that number! This is only the third day for the event, which makes it quite unbelievable (a lot of people might still play Dying Light 2 to this day).
Given that there are still lore drops to grab from the Outbreak Infected, I'll have to make this number go up even higher! When there is lore at stake, I will try to find it.
Those lore drops are beginning to pile up in Dying Light 2. I am pleased, given that the experience gain is much lower in the area that I'm hunting Outbreak Zombies in...Time to go Downtown, perhaps!
After contributing to the event progress, and unlocking more lore...I'll probably work on getting my Legend Level unlocked as Aiden is still just a few Combat and Parkour Levels away from it.
The quests moldering in my quest log should provide enough exp to level Combat and Parkour without much issue.
That's an issue that needs solving after sneaking in some sleep and laundry!
Running around Villedor and damn is this apocalyptic and ruined setting beautiful; in spite of the horror and Infected that affects the daily lives of the citizens living here have attempted to create comfortable spaces.
Humans are highly adaptable, so it makes sense they'd be able to shift their lives to revolve around a precarious schedule of work all day, cower in UV lights by night.
On top of ruined buildings, there are slices of calm comfort (barring the moans of Infected at street level), bees pollinating flowers and life is flourishing in spite of the strange situation.
Villedor gives me the chills because life is finding a way, despite the awful situation and that fills me with hope.
I'll probably uncover everything on the map and try to find all the graffiti without help (then use a guide for any remaining collectibles).
It's wild that Dying Light, Dying Light 2 are still getting so much love from Techland...It's something that I appreciate because these games, while kinda flawed for various reasons...Are still fun experiences. I do wish that Dying Light: The Beast would get some more events, that give the community more reasons to dive deep into Castor Woods.
I will likely be participating in this Dying Light 2 event for the duration, as I am interested in the lore drops.
