Tom Tykwer – „Das Parfum“ (2006)

Dieser Film riecht eigentlich schon nach Größenwahn. Denn Tom Tykwer hat 2006 das Unverfilmbare gewagt, und das war Patrick Süskinds Kultroman, der als viel zu olfaktorisch, also viel zu sinnlich galt, um zu einem Film werden. Und das Ding funktioniert doch! Nicht, weil es das Buch kopiert, sondern weil es den Stoff neu riecht – als visuelles Rauschgift. Ein Film, der so dekadent ist, dass ich die Luft anhalten wollte. John Schlesinger – „Marathon Man“ (1976)

Wie oft ich diesen Film gesehen habe, weiß ich wirklich nicht mehr. In fast 50 Jahren hat er allerdings nichts von seinem Eindruck auf mich eingebüßt. Ein richtig harter Thriller. Ein großartiger New-York-City-Film, der sich lange in ihrem Unterbewusstsein einnisten wird. Joggen gehen ist danach vermutlich eine gute Therapie. Zum Zahnarzt gehen Sie danach aber freiwillig nie wieder. Mit Dustin Hoffman, Laurence Olivier und Roy Scheider. (ARTE, Wh.)
