Stripping out the stable at the far end of the big barn. It's not very nice in there.

But a real treasure! Half a meter of compressed dung mixed with hay. Excellent fertilizer for crops.

Not sure if horse or cow. I think it must've been cows kept here last, long ago.

In my new YouTube #video, I tell the #hypothetical story of a #Histiostomatidae #mite that lived its #lifehistory in the #dung heap of the #dinosaur #Edmontosaurus #annectens during the Late #Cretaceous. It developed #fungivorously within the dung and, when conditions deteriorated, was #transported by #flies to a new habitat (phoresis). All images and footage created with #AI assistance, except photos of free-living mites.

Noch ein Revolutionär aus #Baden: Albert #Dung https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Dung-39 war der Sohn eines aus #Bonn stammenden Apothekers in #Kippenheim. Er wurde wegen seiner Beteiligung in Abwesenheit zu neun Jahren Haft verurteilt, weilte dann allerdings schon in New York, wo er mehrere Apotheken betrieb. 1861 teilte man ihm während einer Geschäftsreise nach Frankfurt mit, dass er begnadigt worden sei. Also kam er zurück und starb später in #BadenBaden. Zufallstreffer durch @apotheken
