I will finally subscribe to The Guardian if they promise to stop publishing articles which are in fact a dreadful attempt at humour - whereby the author writes dumb questions to themselves and then they dumbly answer the dumb questions.

Can I as the 'duh' question wrt #duckDB?

I've seen the movie trailer, and I've seen some cool demos.

If one were to over-simplify -> From the in-memory processing standpoint, Is it a _little_ like, "If you were to run a single-node spark cluster on your local machine"?

I'm just a simple unfrozen os/embedded engineer and your web software stack frightens and alarms me...

1. Can anyone suggest a modern client side web framework thing that is *minimal* (0 deps best!), does not require compilation, node.js, etc -- just some javascript and css that helps one put together simple non-hideous web stuff?

2. Can anyone point out how one uses XMLHttpRequest (or equivalent) to talk to a website *other* than the one serving a static web app?
