> In evidence submitted to the House of Commons Scottish Affairs Committee’s inquiry into digital connectivity, the transmission provider proposed replacing the current six national DTT multiplexes with three DVB-T2 multiplexes after 2034 while maintaining coverage of 98.5% of UK households. > The proposal would reduce transmission costs and energy consumption by more than 40%, according to Arqiva, while preserving universal free-to-air television services.
