ITs History!A year after the video game crash of 1983, Commodore founder Jack Tramiel left the billion dollar company and purchased Ataris consumer division of Warner Bros. There he continued his vision of volkscomputers, and the #ST520 was launched as the first #PC with a #GUI and color graphics for less than USD 1,000.
Its Motorola 68K CPU was running over 8 Mhz with up to 4 MB RAM, and with Digital Research's #GEM the machine rendered graphics with 16 colors in 320 × 200 pixels. Monochrome it offered in up to 640 × 400 pixels. The year after #ST1040 was launched, and for the first time the cost per KB of RAM went below U$D1.
With apps like Calamus, Kandinsky and Photo line and vector font support, the Atari ST gained a foothold in #DTP and #CAD markets. But thanks to built-in #MIDI ports, it was most popular for music sequencing with Cubase.
Alongside the Apple Macintosh, IIGS, Amiga, and Archimedes, #AtariST models pushed limits in PC history. But in 1993 Atari discontinued ST computers.

Gazeta to wizytówka Urzędu. Jeśli wygląda amatorsko, to tak postrzegana jest cała kadencja Wójta, Burmistrza, Rady.
DLACZEGO wygląd gazety jest ważny?
Gazeta Urzędu (Gminy, Miasta, Starostwa, firmy) kojarzona jest z osobą, która rządzi. Jeśli mieszkańcy (klienci) otrzymują gazetę, która wyglądem przypominać amatorskie gazetki z lat 90., to mogą odnieść wrażenie, że właśnie tak właśnie wygląda praca Wójta, Burmistrza, czy firmy — byle jak, bez polotu, na odczepne.
I odwrotnie — profesjonalnie zaprojektowana, estetyczna gazeta daje wrażenie, że Gmina/Miasto/firma rządzona jest profesjonalnie: że dba się o szczegóły, ma wizję, szanuje mieszkańców/klientów na tyle, aby dać im coś porządnego.
Oczywiście, to nie do końca fair, bo jakość gazety nie mówi nic o jakości dróg czy przedszkoli, czy o stanie firmy… ale tak działa ludzka psychika. Wizerunek przenosi się z jednej rzeczy na drugą.
Dlatego Wójtów, Burmistrzów, Prezydentów nie stać na najtańszy – czyli bardzo słabej jakości – design i skład graficzny. I dlatego – pomimo wydawania byle jakich gazetek – tak wielu Wójtów i Burmistrzów przegrywa wybory. Nieprofesjonalna gazeta „nie dowozi” tematu. Jest traktowana jako śmieć, artykuły nie przyciągają wzroku.
Jeśli wydawać gazetę, to dobrze zaprojektowaną, przez firmy zajmujące się profesjonalnie składem graficznym (DTP) gazet
