I unknowingly lied about having finished my Fedora setup on my work laptop. I forgot about OBS and the DroidCam plugin for it. It was a pain in the butt until I figured out that the v4l2loopback module wasn’t loaded due to secure boot being enabled (which is weird to me since it didn’t make any problems on my desktop)
I have a paid offline #DroidCam license which asks me to connect to a system account (i.e. one that is registered with Android) so it can verify my license.
I am supposed to use my email account here, but I'm using #FairEmail with an IMAP server, so no system account got created.
Is there a way to make FairEmail create a system account that corresponds to an IMAP server account, just so DroidCam is happy?
@BrodieOnLinux About turning phone into camera, at least on #android ( #android15 ), you can just connect your phone to the computer with the cable, and select internet camera on the connection type, and then at least with #V4L2 you can use the phone in the #OBS. I saw there is beta of #pipewire camera integration, but it didnt yet for me.
I suppose Christian uses #iphone and (after quick search) #ContinuityCamera, and after another search it seems to be only be integrating with the #apple ecosystem :/ so #droidcam seems to be required in this case
зато есть время проработать персонажа. Навешать костей (тут про #rigging ) на волосы, ведь перс был создан на скорую руку в надежде запуска как можно скорее, после установки всего комплекса ПО (и создания, репетиции сценария btw), вроде, #vseeface которая перехватывает движения персонажа с камеры #threedposetracker для привода в движение перса в полный рост с помощью камеры и #vroidstudio для создания персонажа. Ну и дело за малым, запустить #obsstudio и транслировать или записывать свое выступление!Mein Vorhaben mit dem #Stream schreitet voran. Bald wird #Twitch einen neuankömmling begrüßen dürfen.
Hab jetzt ein wenig #Droidcam rumprobiert und vielleicht werde ich doch mit Kamera loslegen. Das würde @Wrannek bestimmt freuen :D
Kann ich auch nachvollziehen. Gerade wenn man nichts sagt, dann hat man ja noch Mimik mit der man arbeiten kann :)
Mal schauen, wie ich mein Smarty vernünftig aufgebaut kriege :)

Play #Xbox on the couch.
Have Xbox app running on PC, #streaming the game.
Have #OBS capture the PC stream of the game, incl audio.
Use #droidcam to stream my face to OBS/PC.
Use wireless headset to stream (bad) voice #audio from the couch to OBS/PC.
Suggestions for better voice capture?
How/where can I make an Xbox series S accept a plugged in headset as audio input?
