Some may recall my earlier post about being able to successfully parallel park on the first attempt and having lots of practice in large metropolitan cities. Whether I’m driving a small compact car or an SUV.

It appears that my skill in parallel parking does not transfer to being able to successfully pull into a regular parking spot. This one was on an angle. It’s even worse when it’s a straight-in parking spot like you see at the mall or grocery store, etc. πŸ˜‚πŸ«£

Why is it that I can nail parallel parking in reverse on the first try, but totally misjudge pulling into a regular parking lot spot? I can figure out the angle and length of a curbside space just fine, but somehow get it wrong in a parking lot. πŸ˜‚
I think it’s because Dad taught me to back into parking spots, driveways, etc if I could because in the snow belt of Upper Michigan, pulling out is much easier than backing out, especially in a front wheel drive vehicle in the snow.

Tesla In The Gong
There were definitely days at my old job that I took full advantage of their gas reimbursement policy where I drove sometimes 80 miles in a day just to get more money reimbursed at the end of the month.

I still worked and got the best out of my voter registration goals to hit for the week, but sometimes I'd pick far out events just for free food or a place I wanted to visit before or after work.
