... a) haven't had the impression it lasts anything good (even w/o rivercrossings) but more importantly
b) it always clogs to complete uselessness.
Basically a pain in the ass to use (had to use grass stems for every drip) and with to be expected low performance.
I'll go back to Silca Synergetic for race use: tried and proven!
Can't recommend. Tested on the Silk Road Mountain Race.
So a few weeks back I wrote that I'll try this Trutension cycle Banana Slip Drip Lube.
Reason: it tests similar to the proven Silca Synergetic, is also kind of a drip wax like Silca Super Secret Chain coating yet promises near instant ready time after application (5-10 mins).
So far, so good.
But...
Immersive Waxing... wrote about it why it's so-so for ultracycling and actually confirmed it sort of because the wax only lasted to the first thunderstorm and not even the first 12 hours of the race... Oh well - it got waxed again as I'm now at home again and for daily riding it's fine. 😅

Yes, that is a Sram XO Eagle Transmission Cassette and RD.
And it's running with a non flattop chain and matched to a Shimano XTR chainring.
Connex by Wippermann showed it at Cyclingworld Europe behind acrylic and it ran very rough...

Very interesting chainring solutions. Including Sram AXS. They even got AXS direct mount spiders!
And they have nice Shimano XT/XTR direct mount chainrings, too. 👍
It just occurred to me that everybody riding a 1x mullet setup with his Gravel bike (and most probably does so with a SRAM over a Shimano GRX drivetrain) really opted for the worst of all the possible drivetrain efficiency downfalls: He not only suffers "cross chaining" efficiency losses in the outermost cogs of the cassette but also does so with the worst of all chains - the conventional Eagle AXS chain! Yikes! (see my previous posts to see why)
