B-2731, Boeing 787-8 DreamLiner, Hainan Airlines, trying to sneak up on the camera as it turns onto Runway 05 Left at Manchester Airport, 3rd May 2017.
This is the only publicly accessible spot at Manchester where you can have planes on the runway, on the ground, on either side of you - because of the way the runways are off-set, planes taking off on 05 Left are just joining the start of the runway here, while those landing on 05 Right are getting towards the end of their landing roll, if they haven't already turned onto one of the parallel taxiways.
And the best bit - hardly anyone knows it's here!
It's only accessible in good weather, and I can spend entire days here without seeing another person on this side of the fence - it's a long walk, but well worth it.
