RELEASE THE CATTEN!

The Catten usually does nothing but observe and pass silent judgement, but when invoked it can enter combat.

Skinner just invoked it as he fell through the gate, so the Catten engages in combat with the witch hound and casts a serious healing spell on Tym.

The GM had to remember what the Catten could do. LOL.

Grainne has been chilling outside the inn (after passing through a gateway from a graveyard in an illusion) waiting for the rest of the party to catch up.

She told them to GTFO before she left. They haven't shown up ye—

oh, there's Brym. And the mysterious Catten (an NPC).

But the other three (and the dwarf) are still in there . . .

A tossed (airborne) dwarf does d8 damage when they land, apparently.

DWARF TOSSING!

Seriously, the barbarian's player just said "I chuck Stig at the witch hound."

Stig weighs about 300 pounds. "He's more like a boulder."

No longer in total darkness, because Grainne cast Light (basically a cantrip, called a "magic trick" in this system).

This old hag has apparently been falsely accused and wrongly imprisoned, but she's attacking, so . . .

She claims the innkeeper stole the child we heard about (and saw a portrait of and in whose image the doll we found was made . . .). And maybe killed her dogs, too.

Need to put her out of her misery.

Oooh. Combat in total darkness.

There's no such thing as dark vision in Dragonbane. We're all blind as bats in here.

Orville is diving into a frog-filled pond in hopes of bringing up a sunken box.

Not a chest, just a box . . .

I'm getting gom jabbar vibes . . .

oh, just a rusty nail.

Hark! A halfling! (Our new player's character. Orville Pennywick.)

So we have a wolfkin, a mallard, a couple of humans, and this guy.

And he has just shown up on the other side a door, in this blasted cursed inn . . . AND it seems he stole something from Skinner (the mallard, who is always in a rather bad mood).

And Grainne recalls removing a splinter from some part of Orville's anatomy. She does not, however, go into detail about the delicate operation. Too embarrassing for everyone, directly or indirectly.

SCOURGE: The Solemn Company of Underdogs, Rogues, Guardians, and Explorers

is the official name of the guild to which our group belongs. We are, indeed, a scourge.

(Yes, the O of "of" is there but the A of "and" is not." Hush.)
