Well, this was one way to play this. Level 18 (on casual, but still), did not finish all the upgrades to Skyhold because no more spirit essence could be found. I skipped at least three characters’ personal quests, refused to waste time on anything on the war table that took over an hour, and did not even set foot into the Hissing Wastes or Forbidden Oasis, just pushed through the main quests and finally I am done with this game. I really want to like it, but… it takes so long if you want to do it properly.
How this differed from my previous playthroughs is that I didn’t have to go release the dragon to defeat the lyrium dragon, Morrigan helped because I let her have the Well of Sorrows. Ergo there was no threat of potentially losing Bull.
I can start playing something else tomorrow!

Like you handled everything during DA2, Aveline? The murderous blood mage killing older ladies? The skeevy merchant who ran a dragon infested mine with zero regard to work safety? The dozens of criminal gangs that were riddled everywhere around Kirkwall? The safety of not only the viscount but that of his son? Yeah, you and your guard really handled all of those things.

I skipped all of Aveline’s quests in the previous game and none of that made a lick of difference to the story. I really want to like Aveline but this run has really shown me what a pointless character she is in the grand scheme of things.
