Something just reminded me of this bag (purse, “pockabook” in the parlance of the women in my family). Back when I used to commute to Downtown Crossing for work, I exited the train at Macy’s—the train concourse has an entrance into Macy’s—which was awesome. Once I was on the train, I could stay underground most of the way to work. In winter that was great! One time I spotted this awesome bag at Macy’s. Now it looks a bit silly to my eyes, but I was more solvent and more stylish ten years ago. But still pretty frugal. It cost too much—but it really knocked me out at the time!
