Here's another "soothing stone" I finished up the other night. This one has a nice sunny vibe to it, and after putting on the thick gloss bumps, it feels lovely to hold and run your fingers over. :)
It's going to my mother-in-law. I hope she likes it.

And finally, one I finished varnishing up last night, another re-do of a previous triquetra or "Trinity Knot" design I painted a while back. The previous one was painted in warm red, gold, and copper tones, so I wanted to try again with cooler tones this time. :)
Plus a couple really small ones that will become magnets. A rainbow for #Pride!

A bunch of "Soothing Stones". The first was a gift for a friend who was really into Taylor Swift, so the colours were meant to match her latest album, "The Life of a Showgirl".
I like making these; they usually go really quickly to friends, but I'm trying to build up a bunch of them so I can donate them to a good cause. I'll explain more about that later, once I have enough. ^^

Two more… The purple/pink/turquoise one is a re-do of a previous design I painted. I think the original works better… the fuchsia background didn't pop as much as a black background would have, I think.
The other was just because I wanted to play around with metallic copper, so I did a design based around that and red tones. I thought it came out well! Might have ended up a little too busy, though…

I've been doing some more dot painting lately, and I promised I'd share some of the results, so here we go… mini-thread!
The first one (green + purple) is a stone I made for a friend, I call them "Soothing Stones" because I amplify the dots with thick glaze, making a really pleasing bumpy surface. They feel really good to hold in your hand and run your fingers over.
The other is a "dragon egg" design. I did an earlier one in reds, and wanted to try again with blues. :)

Did some #DotPainting for the first time in many months today! 
I've been focusing more on writing and playing video games the past while, but today I spent some time tidying and dusting my painting area and working on a stone for a friend of ours.
Felt good, man. But my back is killing me… it's not exactly ergonomic work. X)
Did some #DotPainting the last couple of nights. :) Made a little metallic blue and gold magnet, and also got started on a new larger stone with a flower-like design on it. Still trying to figure out the rest of the colours.

And the second stone is a little one I made for myself, a "worry stone" to replace my old one which I gave to a friend.
This stone features thick dollops of gloss glaze on top of the dot shapes forming a raised/textured surface that is wonderfully tactile and lovely to rub your fingers over. It turns the stones into lovely little fidget toys or meditation tools.
Anyway, I'm really fond of this one! It feels wonderful to hold and to fidget with. It uses some of my favourite colours, too.

I have a couple dot paintings to share with you today! The first one I finished up last week sometime, a rather detailed one with colours and patterns inspired by Princess Jasmine from the Disney movie "Aladdin".
I really like the blue/turquoise patterns in this one. The gold shapes on the outside were an experiment, but they're also kind of neat!
