The north door of Durham Cathedral, city of Durham, England.
The rather wonderful door knocker is a replica of the original which dates from the 1100s and is in the Cathedral museum. It is a sanctuary knocker or sanctuary ring; anyone grasping it could claim sanctuary (asylum) from their enemies/accusers for 37 days. More info in the close-up alt text.
