Never, ever underestimate what your actions might yield when interacting with people. I remember walking into the men's store Harry Ballot's in Princeton, New Jersey. A very high-end store. The gentleman looked me up and down and saw I was not going to buy. However, he allowed me to try on a Harris Tweed jacket. I walked out with a receipt awaiting tailoring. A customer for life. At one point, I owned many sport coats and tailored suits from that store.
