I am the target of eviction proceedings and have no money for deposit of potential new place (or new place or anywhere to go) because food is so expensive and also it's fucking freezing (figuratively, it's slightly above freezing still outside, at least during the day. Whelp, all the #LandlordDrama culminated in me getting contacted by the district court bailiff (on 15th October). There's no eviction date set yet though but it almost doesn't matter because the harsh finnish winter has started. We (me and my chosen family @DionRa) can't stay here, isolated and stuck, without adequate heating. The landlord refuses to get the chimney fixed, despite CO poisoning.
He had promised to renew my lease, but went back on that after I stood up for my and others' rights. I got angry on behalf of the people of colour who he sent to endanger their health, working without basic equipment like boots and gloves to dispose of trash (rusted metal, shards, chemicals, kitchen and even bathroom trash) half-buried amidst stinging nettles and lots of ants. They arrived on a sunday with only their sandal-wearing spouse to help, kid in tow (had to wait in the car). I honestly doubt they were paid at all, definitely not an adequate amount.
I refuse to just let the landlord get away with this. They are systematically preying on the marginalised and desperate, exploiting tenants and POC for labour and endangering our/their health. CO poisoning is no joke. I don't even have time to list all the other problems with this house and all the ways in which the landlord has abused me. I was suicidal for a while.
What I need first is to physically survive and get my family through this. Then I plan to let the court know about all the landlord's crimes. But first I need to find a new place to live, one that is actually fit for human habitation. The main reason I couldn't find one yet is that I can't give the new landlord my old one's number as a reference and no one will rent to me otherwise.

Seems I will have to take my pc to a person to look at it, diagnose the issue, and spend far more money than I have to fix it. Knocking out my only means of income. This comes after I've applied to countless jobs that are remote.
Honestly devastated right now but we can only do so much.

@DionRa s health is so bad he can't get up aside from going to the bathroom or HE'LL FAINT. He's in constant pain. I am weak myself and have lost an alarming amount of weight since our lease has ended. Can't take the stress and the hardships. Being stuck here means no access to supermarkets or stores and no dishwasher, so all we can get is post-delivered canned and dry food and then we don't have the spoons to cook. We've both been low level starving since we got here but it got worse and the damage accumulates. It's serious. Plus we could get an eviction order any day now and that fear eats us alive. When it gets cold, we're in danger of CO poisoning again from the faulty chimney.
WE NEED MONEY FOR FOOD, TO MOVE, FOR DEPOSIT AND RENT. Had to use part of what we already fundraised for groceries and bills, cause we didn't think we'd be stuck in this rundown dump that wrecks our health for this long. Plus we may need to pay more deposit than we thought, having trouble finding a place.
