A mini dungeon in the titular woods. It's creepy, not very dangerous, especially as we luckily fall on the best order to approach the place. My grumpy, distrusting warrior is fun to play, more so that she's right in every respect about the people we meet. And random chargen gives her 4 lightning bolts at the start of the game. I'm good and only use one of them. I'm very much liking the setting. Small games hint at a rich larger world.

I've been a big fan of Old-Schoo Essentials for 2+ years, and recently got Shadowdark (and love it). I'm also a BECMI grognard who cut his teeth on the purple box Basic Set (Moldvay) and AD&D.
Should I get Dolmenwood and add that to the mix? Is it different enough to be worth the time/expense?

They managed to save Emelda, kill lord Malbleat, and disrupt the ritual. They used a scroll of Raise Dead to bring a Black Bile Worm back to fight for them, Umlaut died in a tragic fireball accident in the final battle. Just crazy tabletop fun.
Another successful Dolmenwood game. This night they played through the module, Emelda’s Song. Umlaut the Friar with a Gun, Dip the Mossling Magician with more magic than sense, and Starbuck, Human Fighter.
This time they actually managed to be heroes and save the day. Crashed the party sure, but did not completely destroy the town like last time.
