Just when I thought I couldn't love the library's Christmas tree even more, I read the sign.

'Come and pluck our book tree! Between 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. on the 22nd, you can pick free books from our Christmas tree and give them a new home. Bring a bag - enjoy your new reads!'

The library is having a book sale on Wednesday and Thursday.

Now amn't I very righteous and virtuous to be telling you that? I mean, it's every reader for herself at the jumble tables. The Reader Games. What if I tell someone and they get there before me and beat me to the books I want? Anyway, you're the third person I've shared the dates with today, so that's my good deed for this year done.

It wasn't as smooth as I hoped for. There was nobody at the info desk of borgerservice. Thankfully the people at the info desk of the library told me that I just need to stand there and someone will come. That worked and I got the lanyard without having to explain myself.
