#Aikido only #dojo usually prefer canvas because it is less likely to cause burns when you sliding on the mat. #Judo prefer usually best grip and therefore vinyl.
Nevertheless, a Aikido #dojo in #austria informed me that there are canvas mats now available again at their dealer.
Our dealer stated that the available mats are just test mats. Well, so soon we will know if the #tatami #crisis is resolved.

Ask any dealers in #germany and probably the #eu the one & only supplier is the company #Regupol in Bad Berleburg.
They produce a variety of different products from recycling rubber and also tatami mats. Most of them with vinyl surface but canvas is also available.
The company is experiencing #quality problems with the canvas color.

I came to the #office today and a young colleague had a bank shaved head. I thought it was due to the recent warm weather.
He told me that this was a act of solidarity to a friend that is in medial treatment because of brain #cancer
I know two fellow #Aikidoka that have suffered the same decease and are now active in trainings.
One of them is in my #dojo If the friend of my colleague recovers as well as my follow aikidoka, all will be good.

For Valencia, I would have a recommendation for a #dojo but about 350km is to far to just pop by in the evening.

But it would be a highlight of #fediverse if you turn up there and tell them you heard #aikidoka in Fediverse aout that dojo. That Akidoka is a fellow Aikidoka of the #german that regularly visits your dojo and attends the training.
