Das habe ich bei der 26-Jahrfeier unserer #Aikido -abteilung (wegen #Corona) erfolgereich im Keim erstickt.
Unser #Sensei wollte, dass "unsere #Frauen" Schnittchen machen.
Ich habe erklärt, dass dann die Frauen, die ins Training kommen, den ganzen Abend rennen und sich die Leute, die nur im Sozial- #Dojo sind sich, einen schönen Abend machen und ich das nicht so toll finde. Was große Resonanz bei allen Anwesenden fand.
Der Wirt vom Sozialdojo hat dann lecker gekocht.

Yesterday I spent about 4 hours for my #Kyokushin #Karate exam at #Seishin #Dojo
Wednesday I'll have to do the #kumite part (6 fights of 2 mins each).
If all goes well I'll earn my 4th Kyu belt. 💪

1) Yesterday a team from one of my hospitals went for a beach cleanup volunteer day. Perfect 1st day back in the “office.”
2) Kiddo had a swim meet today. Love that so far I am able to make it to them all. Feel pretty lucky.
3) Yesterday back in #Aikido for the 1st time in a week or so. Can sometimes find a #dojo when I travel. No time for that this trip.

#Aikido only #dojo usually prefer canvas because it is less likely to cause burns when you sliding on the mat. #Judo prefer usually best grip and therefore vinyl.
Nevertheless, a Aikido #dojo in #austria informed me that there are canvas mats now available again at their dealer.
Our dealer stated that the available mats are just test mats. Well, so soon we will know if the #tatami #crisis is resolved.

#Dojo that are not purchasing mats probably ´not experiencing the current #mat #crisis for #aikido #tatami mats with canvas surface
Ask any dealers in #germany and probably the #eu the one & only supplier is the company #Regupol in Bad Berleburg.
They produce a variety of different products from recycling rubber and also tatami mats. Most of them with vinyl surface but canvas is also available.
The company is experiencing #quality problems with the canvas color.

I came to the #office today and a young colleague had a bank shaved head. I thought it was due to the recent warm weather.
He told me that this was a act of solidarity to a friend that is in medial treatment because of brain #cancer
I know two fellow #Aikidoka that have suffered the same decease and are now active in trainings.
One of them is in my #dojo If the friend of my colleague recovers as well as my follow aikidoka, all will be good.
