My 1st bed was a $250 futon.

My 2nd bed was a sleigh bed, a boxspring, a pillowtop mattress, a duvet, and a red / gold embroidered duvet cover with a matching tasseled neck pillow, worth maybe $6k in 90s IT money.

(Sold to cursed friend; burned in house fire.)

My 3rd bed was a $400 Amazon deal with a $600 mattress. This felt like a rebirth at the time, like my shit was getting back together.

My 4th bed is $150 of corduroy & memory foam, small enough to fit under a wire shelving unit. #dogbed
