Kash Patel's interpretation of the mission of law enforcement is a dog whistle:

"...they've made a choice to serve and protect their fellow American citizens..."

The origin of the phrase comes from the LAPD academy "To Protect and to Serve". Los Angeles's law enforcement mission covers diverse communities as their customers, with no requirement of citizenship.

Kash Patel's wording was not accidental.

The other glaringly obvious (at least here) thing is that a highly advanced intelligence isn’t just going along for the ride, #Dogwhistle or not, to serve our purposes. They are quite capable of simply not showing up…and the likelihood of that any time in the future is quite high. If you find anything alarming it should be the hubris

Donald Trump just likes to throw stuff in the pond to see how big a ripple he can cause.

Do you have any idea how much it will cost to reopen Alcatraz? I'd argue a billion dollars! Nothing there can be reused; the salt water has rotted everything to the core. The place would need to be flattened and rebuilt from scratch; some would argue that the place is of historic interest. Still, it makes for a fun news item.
