Die documenta fifteen und das dort gezeigte Bild People‘s Justice von Taring Padi mit dessen unzweifelhaft antisemitischen Elementen und Darstellungen von Figuren hat bekanntlich eine bislang einmalige öffentliche Diskussion über Inhalt und Grenzen der Kunstfreiheit ausgelöst, in der allerdings politische und juristische Aspekte allzu oft und ziemlich unreflektiert vermengt wurden. Auch gegen weitere Werke wurden Antisemitismusvorwürfe erhoben. Es erscheint angezeigt, nunmehr, in einem gewissen Abstand zum aktuellen Geschehen damals, eine präzise juristische Analyse zu erarbeiten. Diese soll allerdings durch politische Aspekte ergänzt werden.
