Der Himmel über Gabun in Zentralafrika war in den vergangenen Wochen Schauplatz einer besonderen Allianz: Ein Forschungsflugzeug des DLR erstellte Radaraufnahmen des Regenwalds – in Flugbahnen simultan zum Erdbeobachtungssatelliten Biomass der Europäischen Weltraumorganisation (ESA). Die Messflüge der DO 228-212 D-CFFU wurden exakt auf die Überflüge des neuen Satelliten abgestimmt.
