Would love to research some #distributist ideas about solving this problem but I just plain don't know enough about #distributism to know what's what. Further, it's unlikely that one undergraduate student could solve the health care crisis in the USA. That's too big a project to take on. #sigh

#introduction > Hi there! I'm Catherine, and I live and work in the northeast #Atlanta metro, although I'm originally from #EasternNC. I'm an #EmployeeBenefitsSpecialist by profession and a #writer by temperament and identity.

I'm a #Catholic #revert and currently worship with the #Ordinariate, although I'm not eligible for canonical membership. I'm also #divorced and, in 2019, I was #remarried to a great Catholic man. Thus, I'm a #wife and a #stepmom to five great people, three of whom are minors.

Politically, I'm a #distributist and #NewFeminist who (mostly) agrees with the #AmSolidarity party.

In my off-hours, I enjoy #gardening, #photography, #fandom, and #cats. I'm also just dipping my toes into #genealogy and #FamilyHistory.

And yes, I use a lot of hashtags. 😏 But they're relevant, I promise!

Attached: 2 images social dot coopers, y'all fans of Louis #Kelso, yeah? Have you ever heard about #CapitalHomesteading, a Kelsonian-rooted idea promoted by the organization Center for Economic Justice https://www.cesj.org/learn/capital-homesteading/capital-homestead-act-a-plan-for-getting-ownership-income-and-power-to-every-citizen/ , which is headed by real-life former Kelso associate Norman Kurland? It's really a great idea to make real #ownership of #capital much more widely and justly distributed.

So, first post on Mastodon here. Part of my interest in trying this out, is how social media can work from a distributist perspective (which has resonances with open-source ideology). Whereas FB, Twitter, etc, all are centralised, Mastodon seems more like Chesterton's "3 acres and a cow" approach. I'm wondering if anybody else has already been looking at Mastodon from this perspective? #christian #opensource #distributist #chesterton
