Do you have big data to share in a forge? Try #forgejoaneksajo! It's an active soft fork of @forgejo, adding git-annex support.
@matrss gave a nice talk about it on @distribits, which you can watch there. Thank you!

PS: I wish #GinGNode (gin.g-node.org) will update to this at some point in the future! It goes one step further, adding DOIs to datasets/code.
Attached: 1 image We're happy to announce that we've post-processed the conference recordings and published the talks! If you gave a talk, you can now also find a recording on the respective "Talk" overview page at https://distribits.live/talks. And if you want to rewatch the entire conference, you can also find it as a playlist on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLEQHbPfpVqU6_bZ4gUQn_9OX-LvDmKoby. Happy re-watching!
Completed my first personal technology upgrade after this year's #distribits: new phone running #grapheneos
Needing new hardware was annoying (it appears nothing in the past 5 years has made devices truly better).
But the software makes up for it! Smooth installation, polished feel. For the first time in forever, I feel like the phone OS is on my side, rather than taking me hostage for commercial exploitation. A feeling that, so far, only my #debian machines could provide.
Thanks!
#gitAnnex can now use Iroh to connect two repositories located anywhere, including behind firewalls needing hole punching.
As well as sending data with git-annex, git pull and push works too

I am very proud of the title "state of the art workaround"
Check out Andreas Knüpfers talk on DataLad slurm and a less hacky solution for large scale HPC reproducibility :D
