Spring Break 2025 ended yesterday for us. We're all still in recovery mode, though it seems to be easier for the kiddos to bounce back.

We started vacation by driving down to Wilderness Lodge from Chicago. The drive went better than we expected aside from the final two hours when we were stuck in traffic and kids became stir crazy. It was kind of worth it when Google took us the back way and we got to see the backside of Space Mountain.

After arriving to the resort room, Kid 2 immediately went to the balcony to watch cast members clean the roof. He's an old man at heart.

Noticed this new #DisneyVacationClub window at the #GrandCalifornianHotel yesterday. Beautiful. See the #HiddenMickey ?

It's like they've transformed this into a #DVC room because there's also another sign nearby. Except this is a thoroughfare between the hotel lobby and the entrance to #DowntownDisneyAnaheim .

Finally had a chance to look at the new-ish #DisneyVacationClub section of the #DisneylandHotel . Very pretty lobby area, with this gorgeous mural. Love the array of characters. Hi, Baymax. Oh, a subtle nod to #DisneyWishMovie . #DVC

Saw this #DisneyVacationClub shuttle today. How cute are those Mickey head back rests? The only one I know named Maximus is the horse in the Disney animated film "Tangled". I wonder if it's a reference to him.

#LastWeekTonight covered the horrors of timeshares tonight. They were spot on.

And now to negate that statement. I bought a timeshare 23 years ago, and I still love it. Mine is from #DisneyVacationClub (or #DVC for short). I have to plan in advance, but that comes naturally to me. And in all that time, I’ve never been in danger of having points go unused. Quite the contrary: I never seem to have enough points, and I have a LOT of points.
