I'm glad to have hydraulic disc brakes on my all-rounder bike. Not having to squeeze the brakes hard on every downhill, particularly on wet surface, is a blessing.

Today I experienced two things:

1) Some random guy from #WarmShowers popped by to mine so that I can show him how to replace #DiscBrakes on his #bike. We had a cool chat, drank coffee and he also did his lunch prep at mine.

2) I tried to pick up the slack on my #OSS & #JS contributions and tried to make a reproduction for a bug I reported earlier. I found out that I can no longer find the code that was failing for me and also that I can make vanilla project fail to boot just by trying to copy&paste steps from READMEs.

So, yes, I am absolutely ready to abandon all the tech and move to the mountains and grow my own food. Why are you asking?

Dass man heutzutage an jedes Fahrrad Scheibenbremsen dran montiert, habe ich auch nie wirklich verstanden.

Zum Glück konnte ich mein Rennrad noch mit Felgenbremsen konfigurieren. Da will ich gar keine Scheibenbremsen haben. Die Bremswirkung ist jederzeit überragend und bevor die Bremsen Probleme bekommen, dreht schon lang der 28 mm Reifen auf der Straße durch, besonders im Regen.
