Hi there @disability Ask your housing authority about Non-Elderly Disabled (NED) vouchers. NED 1 is for people leaving already residing in the community. NED 2 is for people leaving SNFs and healthcare facilities. Many don’t know about these vouchers and it’s important for us to share, apply, and advocate for more accessible units in the new builds. Dear @disability,
Please get involved however you can with your local climate change policy planning agenda, especially in the areas of housing, energy, transportation, and disaster planning. If your city, state, or county government has commissions in these areas, apply to be on them. I’m seeing plans from various government entities around the US that are not inclusive. Being the first or only one can be hard, but our voices matter.

While I’d rather have clear eyesight, I’m grateful to vision impairment for motivating me to write descriptions of images meaningful to me. I practice writing image descriptions every day.
