**Dezeen Showroom: **Danish-Italian design studio GamFratesi has created an unusual folded structure out of aluminium to form the legs of the Homey table, for Italian brand Poltrona Frau.
The Homey table's base is made of die-cast aluminium, folded together at the legs to draw a flowing, shadowy line to the floor.
Homey is available in four sizes, and both rectangular and square shapes
"The quintessence of Homey is expressed in its die-cast aluminium legs," said Poltrona Frau. "In a sculptural play reminiscent of haute couture, the two-leg flaps fold and join together without touching, creating a chiaroscuro effect in the centre."
The base can be paired with either a wooden or marble top, with a slender profile that adds to Homey's light and graphic appearance.

Its name is a reference to its intended environment, as it is intended to create a central spot for coming together in the home.

DNA outdoor furniture collection by Gandia Blasco
**Dezeen Showroom: **Spanish brand Gandia Blasco has expanded its DNA collection of outdoor furniture to include pieces finished in aluminium, which is intended to mimic the appearance of wood.
The DNA collection includes dining tables, serving carts, outdoor beds and sofas, which are designed for a variety of outdoor spaces, including private gardens to large contract facilities.
The series, which was originally released in teak, is informed by the patterns of light and shadows created from window shutters typically found on the Mediterranean coast.

The new additions are made from a metal composition that Gandia Blasco has dubbed "faux wood aluminium". The composition is designed to imitate the warm, chestnut tones of wood, while the use of aluminium improves durability and ensures easy maintenance.

Dezeen Showroom: Portuguese brand De La Espada has released a collection of outdoor furniture, 98.6°F, designed by Neri&Hu to be long-lasting and deceptively simple.
The all-wood 98.6°F collection is named after the "normal" human body temperature.
The collection features a dining table, dining chair, bench, lounge chair, coffee table and side table that De La Espada, which normally focuses on indoor furniture, describes as modest and versatile while also revealing "tectonic sophistication" up close.

All of the pieces are made from Croatian white oak, chosen because its high tannin content protects the wood from rot and allows it to have a longer life outdoors.
The furniture is finished with black oil, which darkens the grain and deepens the tone of the timber while making it water repellant.
