This war is likely to be more costly than the Iraq war. While Iraq fell almost immediately, Iran’s resistance demonstrates that even the United States and Israel cannot confront it alone. Consequently, Trump has begged for assistance, recognizing that they are in over their head and the U.S. Navy lacks the capability to reopen the strait.
