Fujifilm X Half Camera Review: Less Tech, More Thought

Question for hobby picture takers. There will be a full #LunarEclipse this year and I want to get good images. The last time I did this (2010) I had a Canon Rebel EOS checked out from the library and a telephoto lens. Is there something similar I could get from ebay or used equipment sites? I don't live near that library any more. :(

I think it's been 17 years ago since I last bought a #DigitalCamera that _wasn't_ integrated into a smart phone, so I am a bit behind on what the state of the art is in this field. But maybe 2026 I will get a new one.

What I am primarily for is something with a good optical zoom - one that is significantly better than the 5x optical zoom of my Pixel 8 Pro - yet small enough to carry around in the pocket of a jacket.

I am also curious how file transfer is done these days. Is it still done via USB cables, or is cloud integration via WLAN standard these days (I'd prefer #NextCloud integration, but I'd be willing to settle for others)?
