Certain puppies can be huffy and resistant to getting checked, they will claim to be dry even when leaving drips and puddles in behind.

For these puppies its best to sneak up on them and grip their legs so they can do no more than huff until you're done. This position should give easy access for a visible inspection, but while down there its best to give them the snoof test as well … just to be sure ^///^
