Went to the doctor, and he removed the plastic around my bandage. After he left, I asked the nurse, how should I shower without the plastic. She said to shower with it and then put on new bandages. She then proceeded to hand me two new bandages, and said that these should suffice until our appointment next week. "That is, unless you shower everyday..."
I looked incredulous to her with all that is Brazilian inside of me screaming, and answered "I do"

May 2018 in #Berlin – the #BerlinWall memorial site is incredibly affecting, as it sits in the middle of what is otherwise an unremarkable urban neighborhood. By coincidence, I was at Kent State a few weeks before this and went to the May 4 museum there, another terrifying and galvanizing experience. Both grow from the same roots.

I loved the info bus, the “Digital Angel”, in particular. I'm sure there are so many activities he did to help seniors in Germany be more digital literate and have more access to online tools than I know about. His work had meaningful impact for so many. I am so honored to have known Herbert. I just learned that he passed away earlier this month. Thank you for your service, your time, your energy & care, Herbert.
