I had to check Heiji’s name (got it right!) and discovered that in the translations he is called Harley Hartwell which irritates me A Lot. Shinichi being called Jimmy Kudo was already annoying enough.

I used to be a huge fan of detective conan in secondary school but drifted away… not that surprising - Kudo Shinichi was 17 and I was 12 when I started reading the manga and he’s hardly aged (I think every year he celebrates his 17th birthday?)

So was pleasantly surprised 2 years ago when I realised musuko was not only born on Starwars day, he shares the same birthday as Shinichi/Conan.

In this week's episode of Detective Conan, Kogoro, Conan, and Ran stumble upon a murder mystery while investigating a porch pirate. It seems the case is solved at the halfway point, but Conan realizes there's more going on.

I thought it was a good episode and was much better than last week's.

Happy #DetectiveConan Episode 1200 day, everyone! :] I'd say this episode is a solid 9 to 9.5 out of 10 for me. I actually managed to figure out who the culprit was in this episode...even if the answer was revealed in universe shortly after the pieces fell into place for me. However, it's still a fun episode, and I wouldn't mind giving it a rewatch at a later date!

This week's #DetectiveConan episode, aka episode 1199...that was...something. Maybe...4.5/10 at absolute best. My mom was already familiar with the Silver Detectives from their last appearance, but I genuinely hope we don't see them again. Haibara's reactions to the Silver Detectives in this episode are a genuine mood.

This week's anime-only Detective Conan story brought back the Silver Detectives. Why did they bring these annoying characters back?

The episode was a little better than I expected, and I was moved by the case's conclusion, but then the post-credits scene happened and we were back to the status quo.
