AI 기반 디자인 도구의 발전으로 디자인 시스템의 중요성이 재조명되고 있다. AI는 아이디어 발산(생성)에 강하지만, 일관된 제품 수렴을 위한 설계 규칙과 체계적인 디자인 시스템이 필수적이다. AI 시대 디자인 시스템은 (1) 시맨틱 네이밍, (2) JSON 기반 계층 구조, (3) md 파일 기반 프롬프트 프로토콜 등 기계가 해석 가능한 구조로 재구성되어야 한다. 또한 Figma, Claude Code, Tailwind 등 도구 생태계가 성숙화되면서 디자인 시스템을 코드화하고 AI가 접근 가능한 형태로 변환하는 기술이 등장하고 있다. 이러한 변화는 디자인 프로세스와 프로덕트 디자인의 패러다임을 재정의할 것으로 예상된다.
