When I started building the base framework for Looping, I defined a set of design principles to guide its development. Establishing these principles from the start helped refine my thinking, avoid implementations that felt "off," and encourage simplicity, abstraction, and reusability for long-term maintainability.

The 2023 GEO Data (working group) dialogue series will focus on the GEO Open Knowledge statement. What do we mean by open knowledge in the Earth observation community and how can we move towards open data sharing and data management principles to good practices of open knowledge in the different societal areas we address in GEO?
This dialogue series will introduce the open knowledge concepts and show examples of how it can be implemented through showcases from the GEO work programme.
