SalGalIt's a harsh beauty out here in the Eastern Mojave Desert. I hiked yesterday in the stunning Pioneertown Mountains Preserve. It's far from the "crowds" of Joshua Tree and retail services along the Yucca Valley Hwy. The roads to get here are full of rolling hills + tight curves that are very fun to drive! Many of the trails were closed due to the recent flooding from Hurricane Hilary...the bright side is that there was a lot of green and wild flowers!
