TIL that the 'Daleks In Colour' mix of the Delia Derbyshire Doctor Who theme has the Pertwee title sequence in the spectrogram.

I'm reading a book titled Re-Sisters by Cosey Fanni Tutti about herself, Delia Derbyshire and Margery Kempe and became fairly enthralled yesterday by her descriptions of Delia (and Daphne Oram before her) working in the BBC Radiophonic Workshop.

Cosey also describes her work on the soundtrack for a movie about Delia's life, and today I found that movie on archive.org in it's entirety. Part documentary, part fictional reenactment. Very worth a watch!

It's not often that you see Delia Derbyshire personally credited by the BBC but this excellent short series of documentaries narrated by Eric Porter made to coincide with the British Museum's 1972 Tutankhamun exhibition is one of the exceptions.

Tutankhamun's Egypt - Series 1: 6. The Warrior Pharaohs

Cyril Aldred looks at how the introduction of the horse-drawn chariot in the 18th century BC created a revolution in warfare. The pharaoh himself now took to the field at the head of his armies.
