Cloudflare should be avoided at all costs, and not only because of their political views but also because it's yet another layer of centralization threatening the free web with bullshit like "Checking if the site connection is secure" or "You're using #Tor Browser? Bad luck for you, fuck off". When I was still following #MastoAdmin I found it always super silly when fedi admins were telling proudly that their decentralized Mastodon instance is now behind CF. 🤦🏼‍♂️

Unfortunately, Misskey doesn't work in TorBrowser at all, even when a user approves #JavaScript via the NoScript interface. Is invasive javascript used?

If one doesn't have the skills to setup a #fediInstance, don't run an instance. Especially don't entrust CloudFlare to set it all up, and then to effectively have them #spying on you and your friends.

We will be blocking the official CloudFlare instance (cloudflare.social) at the first opportunity, and in all seriousness it ought be 'a thing'.

Woah! We finally had a chance recently to check the hacked #Medibank website.

Apparently the #healthInsurance company that got hacked, is #reverseProxied from #AmazonCloudFront servers. So in effect, Australian's data was "hacked" by a US entity first using #socialEngineering.
