How does this MF look so sexy whilst everyone around him looks like shit? #DelayDenyDepose

It's unethical and disturbing enough that we allow pharmaceutical commercials, especially on tv, and now they're directly targeting those ads at adolescents. Despicable.

"Healthcare" companies aren't the only immoral, indecent, and unnecessary entities who need to be removed from our medical system, by any and all means necessary and available.

Big Companies Are Already Asking Trump for Favors

Amazon helped fund Donald Trump’s inauguration. The retail giant and the insurer UnitedHealth waited less than a day to start begging the new administration to shut down their shareholders’ calls for transparency.

@TomWellborn yep just like how they deny people pain medication to coerce them into dangerous spine surgeries that rarely turn out OK.

They tell you that you can’t have pain medication anymore, your only option is the expensive surgery. If they screw that surgery up causing you more pain or continued pain, their ego will never allow them to admit it, so you won’t get pain medication or a surgical revision. Because they never make mistakes of course, and even if they did they couldn’t admit it or their malpractice insurance would drop them.

I’m old enough to remember when my area had a massive shortage of primary care physicians after 9/11 because insurance companies were super upset they had to pay out a bunch of claims because of that act, so to recoup the record profits they decided to price gouge people who need malpractice insurance. They figured the doctors would have to pay it because they went through medical school and they have a bunch of student loan debt they can’t quit their job now.

But they did. My ADHD provider closed his practice and went to work at the state prison. I was able to keep my PCP because he hooked up with the local hospital and they covered the malpractice insurance for their doctors.

But do you know what happens if you have an HMO and you need an MRI because you were in a car accident? If you don’t have a PCP to send a referral for that MRI your insurance will not pay for it. And you probably won’t get it because they generally won’t even schedule you until they know they can get paid. And you can’t get a referral without a PCP, so insurance got to skip paying for all kinds of things that required referrals.

They made their record profits back pretty quickly.

Medicare doesn’t pull this shit. Just sayin’

“Thousands of patients may have to switch to new health care providers, due to a contract dispute between St. Joseph Hospital in Nashua and Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield.
St. Joseph Hospital and Anthem, the state’s largest insurer, are at odds over how much the hospital should be paid for its services. St. Joseph also alleges Anthem is regularly denying claims that should be covered, echoing complaints other hospitals have made about the company in recent years.”

Insurance dispute between Anthem and St. Joseph Hospital could impact thousands

The Nashua hospital and the state’s largest insurer failed to agree on a new contract, leaving the hospital out of network. Anthem members can still seek care there for 60 days.
