So I went to F-Droid and attempted to download the public transport plugin for Kvaesitso.

And I got a Google Play Protect popup message warning "harmful app detected".

It gave no further details about why this app is harmful.

Does anyone know if this app is harmful? If so how?

Or is this Google being a monopolist and blocking competing open source apps?

@autumnstuff I have now realized that #GrapheneOS is not about 100% #DeGooglization (unlike #pmOS), not about GNU's #GPL-only lisences, but about #security, sandboxing, #antitracking and #privacy Half of preinstalled apps are the same as on stock Android (inc. keyboard, messages, phone, calculator etc - only open-sourced #AOSP) - so, they remind me Google stuff. It is not bad - any team has limited resources, and I accept that it is better to put them forward the supreme goal of privacy.

sto cercando un #editor di testi gratuito che vada bene sia su cellulare che su pc. purtroppo con #CryptPad mi trovo male su cellulare, anche se benissimo su schermo grande.

Just changed my email address in my Mastodon profile. The GUI, or - to be more accurate - the Form behavior for changing the email is a bit confusing, but in 3 minutes everything was settled and I'm done with my gmail account, as far as Mastodon is concerned.

I'm following the Tesla debacle with great interest. I was on Google Finance, but I'm de-Googling myself, and, as mentioned, it keeps crashing.

Google have apparently automated getting rid of negative reviews resulting from their decision to rename the Gulf of Mexico. The only sensible thing to do is to try to stop using the products of billionaire owned American companies, who are *all* demonstrating that they were willing to at the very least bend for fascists, if not actively support fascism.

This came up as part of my continuing process of removing everything which benefits American billionaires from my phone.

I'm now using #organicMaps instead on my phone. It's about 1000 times faster because it doesn't waste time in continuously trying to show you ads.
